Pottery Classes
Group sessions
A pottery session lasts 2 hours, during which you’ll make 2–3 pieces. To fully complete your work, two sessions are required — in the first session we sculpt, and in the second, we glaze. There should be at least a 10-day gap between the two sessions to allow the pieces to dry and be fired. Glazed pieces will be ready to make their way to your home in about two weeks.
Groups are limited to 6 people, so I always have enough time to help each participant bring their dream creation to life.
Materials used in the studio:
In the studio, we use only stoneware clay (high-fire clay), available in several colors — white, black, and speckled beige. We also offer a variety of plaster molds for shaping the clay.
For glazing, we use only high-quality high-fire glazes. These glazes don’t crackle and are much stronger and more durable than the low-fire glazes commonly used in Lithuania. All studio glazes are food-safe. You can choose from a wide color palette and use pour-on or brush-on glazes, underglaze paints, or glaze granules.
For first-time potters:
If you have no previous sculpting experience, I’ll recommend making a bowl using plaster molds during your first session. This simple method makes it easy to control the clay and helps you learn essential hand-building techniques.
