About me

I’m Nida, the founder of KOPU Studio. What fascinates me most about pottery is the process — meditative, sensitive, and free. For me, working with clay is like therapy — it relaxes, lets me dive into the depths of creativity, and helps to forget the daily rush by bringing my focus to the here and now. It’s this love for clay that I want to share with you!

I studied philosophy and education, but clay has taken my life in a different direction. In the summer of 2024, I founded my own ceramics studio. I don’t have a degree in pottery, but my first introduction to clay was in primary school, later I studied clay on my own, in various private studios and did a wheel-throwing course in India. Now, after an intense course of experimenting and learning from my own mistakes, watching lots of Youtube and of course completing several practical and theoretical ceramics courses, I lead hand-building workshops for both children and adults alongside making my own clay creations by hand and on the wheel.

Discovering the universe of clay has been a long and beautiful journey for me, that I hope will continue throughout my life.
